George Ong

George Ong was born in 1936 and grew up in Chinatown on 7th Street and Jackson Street. He attended Lincoln School, Chinese School, and got haircuts at Fong Get Moo's legendary barber shop on 301 Eighth Street like many children during that time. George eventually studied and practiced law, but continues to stay connected to Chinatown to this day as he has his law offices on Franklin Street. He helped form the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce in 1987, and since then with his wife Jenny, have organized Chinatown's Streetfest every year.
