Li Keng WongLi Keng Wong was born in China in 1926, and immigrated to the US through Angel Island with her family in 1933 when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Oakland Chinatown with her family and along with her siblings, worked at the family restaurant, “The Great China” on Webster Street. An elementary school teacher in the Bay Area for over 35 years, she continues to inspire young people with her family's immigration story. She is the author of “My Journey to Gold Mountain.”
