Helen Eng interviewed by Tiffany Eng

Helen Eng was born in Oakland 1919 and grew up in Oakland Chinatown with her parents, grandparents, and six siblings. Helen attended Lincoln School and has fond memories of playing on the girl's baseball team, the Dragonettes, and remembers Lincoln Park as a dream with all her sports activities. Helen grew up in the True Sunshine Episcopal Church with her family. She later became an optometrist. Helen's oldest brother, Raymond Eng, was one of the first Asian Americans to be on the Oakland City Council.
