Lynette Lee came to Oakland Chinatown in 1971 to work as an instructor for an alternative school called East Bay Asians for Community Action (EBACA). She became the Executive Director of East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) in 1982 and has since dedicated her life to building vibrant neighborhoods in Oakland and the East Bay.
